A New Name, A Continued Legacy
We’re excited to welcome you to Gulf Shore Dentistry, the new name for the long-standing dental office at 2260 Bayshore Blvd in Dunedin. After 43 years of dedicated service, Dr. Stephen G. Komara has officially retired, and we’re honored to continue his legacy of compassionate, high-quality dental care.Now led by Dr. Michael Golovin, Gulf Shore Dentistry builds on a foundation of trust, familiarity, and a patient-first philosophy—offering expanded services with a fresh approach.

Meet Dr. Michael Golovin
Dr. Golovin brings a decade of experience in general dentistry and advanced clinical training in cosmetic care, dental implants, root canals, extractions, and clear orthodontic aligners. Originally from Milwaukee, he’s passionate about creating a comfortable, informed experience for every patient and is excited to serve the Dunedin community.
He and his wife, Alicia, have three children and are embracing Florida life with plenty of beach days, family adventures, and community connection.

Comprehensive Exam
We’ll carefully assess your teeth, gums, and overall oral health to give you a clear understanding of your current dental needs. You’ll have time to ask questions, and we’ll walk through everything together.
Standard Cleaning
A gentle, professional cleaning will leave your smile feeling fresh and healthy. If additional care is needed, we’ll discuss next steps with you—no pressure, just support.
Necessary X-Rays
X-rays allow us to spot issues that may not be visible during an exam. These images help us provide accurate recommendations and preventive care.

Will There Be Any Additional Costs at My First Visit?
No! There will be no additional cost associated with your first exam, cleaning, and x-rays! If we notice any dental health issues during your appointment, {Dr. Name} will address them and develop a treatment plan that works for your needs and your budget.
What Happens After My First Visit?
If {Dr. Name} doesn’t find any dental health issues during your appointment, we will simply schedule your next preventive visit in six months! If we notice any cavities or other issues throughout your exam or in your x-rays, we will address them with respect and compassion, and offer you honest advice about your treatment options. We’ll give you time and space to make the best choice for your dental health, and we will schedule any follow-up appointments for treatment at a pace that works for you!
